Ping G410 Orange Dot #9 Iron Regular Flex Steel Men's Right
Description
Who’s It For?
PING’s mission in engineering the G410 irons was to provide golfers the ability to use less club on any given iron shot by increasing ball speeds, maximum heights and launch with each club. The technology included in this iron set does exactly that. PING improved upon the G400 irons by improving MOI by eight percent and reducing offset by 10 percent, among other changes, in the G410 irons. These irons fall into the game improvement category, indicating the product offers traits most commonly desired by mid- and high-handicap golfers such as exceptional forgiveness and distance. For players looking for a smaller, more blade-like appearance with increased workability and precision, the PING i210, i500 or iBlade irons may be a better fit.
The Tech Story
In order to provide the increased distance and forgiveness desired, PING included plenty of technological innovations into the G410 irons. Each iron head is made from 17-4 stainless steel and includes a tungsten toe weight and additional heel weighting to achieve more optimal weight distribution and eight percent higher MOI compared to the G400 irons. Cor-EYE technology returns to, in conjunction with the patented cascading sole design and the removal of the Custom Tuning Port in the cavity, create a more flexible, free-moving face that produces the highest face deflection PING has ever engineered in a cavity back iron. Additionally, the Top-Rail Undercut feature creates a “hinging effect” to expand the flexing zone and launch the ball faster and higher. In terms of appearance, the G410 irons are slightly altered from the G400 set. The G410’s blade length is three percent smaller and offset has been reduced by 10 percent to produce a cleaner, more refined shape for visual appeal and confidence. PING also added a co-molded cavity badge made from aluminum and thermoplastic elastomer santoprene to damp vibrations and provide a powerful feel and sound.
